Hi All,

Finally somebody guided me to start new thread

I am in process of applying ILR application on Tuer 2 5 years route in coming weeks.
I just found out that my previous passport has been missing and the current passport which i currently have is valid since february 2014, more and less i have 4 years of travelling history now but as per requirement i should provide 5 years absence, all passports (which is not in my case)?

Any guidance what documents Home office consider if someone can't provide old passport?
Any help would be highly appreciated

I tried couple of times home office numbers they simply said i am not sure what documents you should provide, check an application form

Anyone have had same situation?

We had the same case and our application got approved December 1st. waiting for the biometric card. Here what they asked for:

1-Police report from your home country confirming that you lost your passport and should be certified. This was applied with the application

2- The case worker called us after one month of waiting asking us to provide them with a letter from my employer confirming that you where working during this missing period.

3-Bank statement and pay slips for this missing year.

So did you go for premium same day service and they hold it for a month ?

1- I have lost my passport recently somewhere but i will get police report here which i hope dont need to certify it from somewhere

2- Employment letter i will provide along with bank statement and payslips?

3- I have read on other threads, applicants have also provided SAR report

4- so how did you confirm absences from the missing passport years? by employment letter?

5- Did you also provide them 5 years HMRC tax letter, i asked HMRC for 5 years tax history letter but they have sent me only for 4 years, not sure if this is sufficient or should i ask them again for 5 years?

i am in the same situation and planning to apply in March.

Did UKVI kept your application when you go same day appointment ?

even if you provided employment letter, payslips and bank statements for the period covered by your lost passport ?

@msohaib25 did you apply for ILR ? if so what is the update.

I second your question here as I have 'somehow' similar situation.. do they accept the bank statements, letter from my employer, and the 5 yrs P60 forms?
Are the above would be sufficient for them to give a same-day decision?

Yes got ILR without any further questions, i did cover up lost passport period by attaching bank statements, payslips and i also had boarding card for that particular year.
