Using only savings as Director of Ltd Company

a) For Indefinite leave for spouse, as a Director of Ltd Company, I understand that we cannot combine earnings (salary/dividend) with the savings to satisfy the financial requirement.
But, can we apply using only Savings we have - of about 35 K [ 16000 + 18600 ] ?
b) If applying only using Savings, is it still possible to do the application in person in Croydon[ We live near London]
