English Language Requirement for 5 Year Route

Hi All,
Spent the morning trying to contact someone at the Home Office check/confirm this, but I'm dizzy they sent me round in so many circles lol.
My now wife arrived in November 2012 with a visa that allowed us to get married here in the UK. We did that, and then applied for Further Leave to Remain. My wife had to take an English Language test for this - which was done with Pearson PTE. Leave was granted for 2.5 years.
Next, we paid the NHS supplement and applied for Extended Leave to Remain for a further 2.5 years which will be coming up soon.
I may have got my 'further' and 'extended' the wrong way round, but this was the 'normal' process.

So now we have a SET (M) to complete, and if I'm reading it correctly we have to travel to Leeds (the closest to Durham) so that my wife can sit a 20 minute speaking/listening test at SELT A1 level?

The Pearson test certificate we have does not have an SELT reference, and says it expired in 2014, but I have read suggestions that because this was valid/accepted for a previous application, then it should be accepted for this one.
I'm probably clutching at straws due to the inconvenience of travelling for the exam, but a browse around the other threads makes it seem like there are people around that might be able to confirm?

She requires English B1 from an HO approved test provider. A1 is NOT sufficient for ILR on Set(M).

If it is an A1 level, then no it won't be accepted. PTE is no longer on the HO approved list.

Thanks fella.
The closest place to me is Leeds, and she's booked for her test next week - much appreciated sir.
Cheers.
