Dear Experts,
I will be completing my 10 years in 20th January 2018 and I want to apply for ILR via the 10 years long residency route. I have an appointment on 22 January 2017 same day premium service.


Current Immigration Status:

I applied for Tier 2 general change of employer on 25th February 2017, I choose 10 days postal premium service and received exceptionally complex issue letter on 1st week of March 2017 and it was pending till now.

My previous tier 2 general visa was valid from August 2015 to August 2018.

I was wondering whether I will get the decision on the same day as my Tier 2 application is still pending.

Additionally, do I need to tell Tier 2 department to transfer my documents to ILR department (premium service center)

When you apply for SET(LR), you must vary your previous application. Just write a covering letter that you want to vary your previous Tier 2 application to SET(LR). You may not get a same day decision

No. Such request will be made by the PSC case worker after accepting your variation of leave
