Premium Service Appointment Query (ILR)

Hi,

I'm in need of some urgent help please. I've visited the boards before and know that there are very knowledgeable people here, so hopefully someone may be able to assist

I have booked an appointment for a Premium Service appointment in Liverpool for my wife and step-daughter's settlement visas; however, there were no appointments available before their visas expire anywhere near us. The closest one available was four days after the visa expires.

My question is, as I've booked the appointment before the visa expires but the appointment is after the visa expires, is it ok to still attend or will there be ramifications for as the application is late? Does the 14 day grace period count here? Very confused at this so any assistance would be amazing

Many thanks!

The booking date is irrelevant. The date of the application will be the day of appointment. I strongly advise against applying after the expiry date of your visa as you will be an overstayer and you will not get the benefits of section 3C in case your application takes times/refused.
I suggest postal route if no premium appointment is available

Many thanks for your reply zimba88.

Just to update you, we had the appointment today and were successful in the application even though my wife and step-daughter's FLR visas had expired 4 days previously.

I guess we had a lenient case worker as they accepted the mitigating circumstances we presented to them (we were waiting for an inheritance to clear into my bank account) and I was missing three months bank statements as my previous bank account was closed by the bank.

There were a few nervous moments but it all worked out in the end! Thank you again zimba88 :)
