Hi there,
I am going to apply for ILR using Tier 2 general in a couple months. I have checked the visa premium service website and it states that the immigration health surcharge (IHS), if you need to pay it.

I am not sure that whether I need to pay the IHS fee. What is the purpose of this fee and it is a mandatory fee?

There is no Immigration Health Surcharge payable when applying for ILR.
