ILR with new job offer

Hi All,
I have a situation and not sure what is the process to follow.
Currently I am eligible for ILR (have completed 5 years on a Tier 2 general visa). I have also received a job offer from another employer. What options do I have regarding ILR?
  • Is my new employer can apply for my ILR based on the job they have offered me, before I join them?
  • I apply for ILR with my current employer and then move?
  • Transfer to another Tier 2 visa for the new employer and then apply for ILR?
Many thanks for your support.

Either of these too.

Option one won't work as you are not employed by the new sponsor.

Many thanks for the prompt reply.
One more question, please. If I apply for ILR with my current employer, will it restrict my chance to move to the new employer?

No it will not. The moment you get your ILR, you are free to stay with your present company or join any other company or even decide to stay unemployed
