Regarding sudden Hike

Hi All
My Tier 2 general visa expires on end of 2018, I finished my 5 years route to ILR on end of November last year(2017). I have been given a 20 percent hike last month and my salary is now 35,500.Since I have the necessary minimum threshold I decided to apply. I have an appointment for a premium slot next week and I wonder should I cancel the appointment and wait for more months so that It does not raise a red flag due to sudden hike, Or should I get more documents explaining the hike from my sponsor. I am not aware whether other company staff was also given a hike and if so what amount. Please let me know if you need more information
Thanks and Regards
AnnaNag

Almost certainly yes it will raise a huge red flag to HO, even after a few months.. HO are hot onto applicants who suddenly get huge increases to meet the ILR threshold.
What documentation could your sponsor possibly supply to justify such a huge increase so suddenly?
Were you not worth that level of salary during the time you have worked for them??
If you are the only person in the company to receive such a large increase, then it is suspicious and your application for ILR will likely be put on hold while HO investigates and possibly visits your sponsor.

Hi CROO1
Since my visa is due to expire at the end of 2018. I can wait for a 6 more months before applying but do you still think that will still raise a flag
Thanks and Regards

While awaiting an update from AnnaNag, anyone finding themselves in a similar situation should take on board that any increase (close to applying for ILR) of £5,000 or more representing 20% of the previous salary level is likely to come under close scrutiny by the HO
