URGENT: UK Naric documents for English language

Hi,
My spouse is applying for ILR as a Tier 2 dependent in next few days.
We found out some contradicting statement in
https://www.gov.uk/english-language/degrees-in-english and in the ILR SET(O) application form.
In the above link, it is mentioned to have these three documents.
1,Original degree certificate from the university outside UK
2,Letter from UK Naric confirming equivalent level of degree
3. official letter from university confirming degree was taught in english
We already have these three document.
But in the ILR SET(O) application form says as follows:
an academic qualification deemed by UK NARIC to meet the
recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or
PhD in the United Kingdom
and:
˗˗UK NARIC has confirmed that the qualification was
taught or researched in English to the appropriate level
or
˗˗the qualification was taught or researched in the U K
or a majority English speaking country (other thanCanada)
Does this mean we need two letters from UK Naric one for comparability of the degree and one for confirming that the degree was taught in english?
Can some one with knowledge about this help me please...
thanks in advance
Jithesh

Yes. They also want confirmation that the degree was taught in English, either from UK NARIC or from the university, unless from an English speaking country, as specified.

Thanks a lot vinny for the Reply.
Just to confirm your reply. We have these three documents.
1,Original degree certificate from the university from India
2,Letter from UK Naric confirming equivalent level of degree (statement of comparability)
3. Official letter from university confirming degree was taught in English on official letter head with seal stamp etc
Can you please confirm that should be enough.

Does that
satisfy 2.2(a)v) the applicant has obtained an academic qualification (not a professional or vocational qualification) which is deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the UK, and provides the
specified evidence to show:
(1) he has the qualification, and
(2) that the qualification was taught or researched in English; or

Thank you for the link.
It seems like it does satisfy this one in section 2.2
v) the applicant has obtained an academic qualification (not a professional or vocational qualification) which is deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the UK, and provides the specified evidence to show:
(1) he has the qualification, and
(2) that the qualification was taught or researched in English; or.
Can i please ask if you also agree.

When the original degree is submitted, the
specified evidence doesn't seem to clarify what documents are acceptable to show
2.2(a)v) wrote:(2) that the qualification was taught or researched in English
However, when the original degree is absent, then 4.11.(b)
(i) an original academic reference from the institution awarding the academic qualification that:
(aa) is on official letter headed paper,
(bb) shows the applicant’s name,
(cc) shows the title of the award,
(dd) confirms that the qualification was taught in English,
(ee) states when the academic qualification was (or as the case may be, will be) awarded,
and
(ff) confirms that the institution is unable to issue a duplicate certificate of award or (as the case may be in respect of an applicant who has not yet graduated) the date on which the certificate will be issued.
is acceptable. Isn't this odd?

Thanks again for the replies.
I agree with you. It is unclear.
The section 2.2 (a) v) does
not clearly say what evidence do they need for proof as the qualification was taught in English. That is my only concern.
By the way we have got the original degree certificate and original letter from Indian university saying the qualification was taught in English and the uk Naric statment of comparability.
This link says
https://www.gov.uk/english-language/degrees-in-english
that is all you need.
We are having a personal appointment in two days time.
Can i ask your opinion on if UKBA will reject her visa application based on this!
OR In case they need more documents, they will ask to submit it later?

Hello!
I wanted to check if the documents listed below is ok for my ILR application to prove that my Bachelor's and Master's degree was taught in English.
Apart from my transcript and passing certificate, I have additional certificates on the official letterhead, stamped and signed stating that the medium of instruction is English. Will this be sufficient or do I still need to authenticate or get NARIC to approve these?
Kindly advice.
Thanks,
Shannon

If they require a missing specified document, then ask the caseworker to apply discretion:
4.3. wrote:(iv) fails to submit a specified document,
the decision-maker
may contact the applicant or his or her representative (in writing or otherwise), and request the document or the correct version of the document. The document must be received by the Home Office at the address specified in the request within such timescale (which will not be unreasonable) as is specified.
Also:
Requesting a re-test wrote:If you are not satisfied with a B1 qualification you
must ask the applicant to take a test with one of the providers on the current SELT list, at an approved test centre. See related link.
If the applicant does not send in acceptable evidence that they meet this requirement within the time allowed, you must refuse the application.
Do let us know what happens!

Have a look at
2.2(a),
specified evidence, and
guidance,
etc.
Probably require NARIC.

Thank you so much for your prompt response, Vinny!
I guessed the same, we still need Naric to authenticate the certificate/transcript. Fastrack is £150+ so I would rather just take the test at Trinity College.
Cheers!

Thanks for all the help from this board.
My application was processed successfully yesterday.
Regarding documents for my partner's English language qualification:
Initially the case worker said he needed the document from UK NARIC confirming degree was taught in English as well. (We had a statement of comparability from UK NARIC and the letter
from her university saying degree was taught in English)
Then I told him that we had looked at this webpage
https://www.gov.uk/english-language/degrees-in-english and I had also called up UKBA and they repeated the same thing on phone.
Eventually he said he will talk to his senior and come back while we wait.
After 20 minutes he came back and said it has been approved. Hurray!!!(may be they made an exception for us, i dont know)
So my advice is who ever is going for ILR with UK NARIC documents for english language, make sure you get both of these from UK NARIC(will cost u more)
1, statement of comparability
2, certificate confirming that your degree was taught in english
BTW while talking to some other applicants there, I was told that the SELT test is so easy to pass. Instead of NARIC, we could have gone for it.
Thanks again

Hi Jithesmenonm, have you got the UK Naric letters from the red route or the blue route?
