Going to apply for ILR

Post by zeeshan8800 » Mon Apr 09, 2018 2:31 pm

Hello everyone,

I have few questions which need to be clear and if someone helps me out that will be highly appreciated.

I got my Tier 2 visa in April 2013 after completing my master's education in the UK. I will apply for ILR next month after having my citizenship test next week. My Tier 2 still valid until April 2019.

What documents should I need to submit other than salary and citizenship test copy? Do I need to earn more than 35k annually salary? Please let me know. I am very curious about it. Don't want to make mistakes.

My wife joined me in October 2014 in the UK and her Tier 2 dependent visa will also expire in April 2019. If I get my ILR, then is she going to extend her Tier 2 dependent visa next year and later in a year she can apply for ILR? What documentation is required for her at that time?

Thank you in advance for helping me!

Read the Set(O) form.

Yes, you need to show evidence of earning £35,500pa.

A PBS dependent extension yes, which will be a 3 year extension. She will have to pay the visa fee and IHS (which might double later this year). Once she is close to 5 years residence, yes she can apply for ILR. LIUK and English B1 plus prove of cohabitation for last 2 years.

Hello,

Thanks for quick reply. She has master's degree taught in English but not from UK. Is she still need to take English B1 test?

Thank you once again.

She will then need UKVI Red Route NARIC for a foreign degree. The test and Naric cost the same. Test is quicker
