Employer's Checking Service while awaiting ILR decision

Is it safe to ask my Employer HR to check with UKVI my Right to Work? I had a valid DLR when I got employed back in 2016 now I'm already permanent but I don't wanna jinx my employment.

In what way could it backfire?

This is just to give a little nudge to UKVI to start considering my case if they haven't yet.

Employer Checking services must be used by your employer if deemed necessary. It will not nudge anything :?
