Hi dear, I have a query about my visa. I entered to the UK on August 2012 as a dependent spouse of tier 1 general. My husband got ILR on 2014 on basis of 10 years residency and then British citizen on 2015. I applied as spouse of British Citizen by using flrm form on November 2015. Now my visa going to expire soon. I have a question that could I apply to settle in the UK as I am living here since 5 1/2 years legally or I have to use flrm form again to gain further leave to remain?

Hi,

My understanding is you won't be able to combine time spent as a dependent of a PBS spouse with FLR(M) appendix FM if you switched to it in november 2015, you will have to complete 5 years under the FLR(M) route until you qualify for an application of ILR, so yes you will have to extend for another 2.5 years.

Your clock reset when you switched to the FLR(M). This is my understanding of it.

Edit:

Too many grammer mistakes 😳 damn you android phone!
