How can I request my Passport

hello,
I am not sure if this is the forum to ask, however I will still ask in case someone can help. I applied for a TOC as my Guyanese passport expired Jan 1 2018. Got my new PP only to read up that you have to get a TOC done within 3 months or a fine of £ 1000.00. So I sent in my docs since March 20th, did over my Biometrics etc on April 4th.
Now my issue is that I am due to fly to Guyana on May 21st which was booked perhaps 10 months ago. I am now scared that I will not have my passport back on time to travel. I bought a package trip because I have to stop over in Barbados then connecting on to Guyana.
I have a case number and I called the Home Office however they cannot give me any details which I can understand to some extent.
Can anyone share any information with me?
