ILR in Mar 2019 - General Queries

I have very general questions for the upcoming ILR application for my wife who will apply as spouse of BC in March 2019. I have not looked closely at the ILR requirements since she received her second 2.5 years partner visa in October 2016. Queries are below:
- Earning requirements (i earn above £50K p/a, she is a houseperson)
- Language (she passed A1 or A2 level for her previous application - what is the requirement of ILR)
- Application method - online or post? is one better or efficient then the other.
- Fee? does she pay NHS charge this time around too?
- how long after gaining ILR, she can apply for BC.

Yes. Minimum income level of £18,600 p.a as required with her FR(M) application.
- Language (she passed A1 or A2 level for her previous application - what is the requirement of ILR)
B1 level English from the UKVI approved list + the Life in the UK test.
- Application method - online or post? is one better or efficient then the other. Y
ou can either apply by post and wait up to 3 months for a decision, or an in-person application at a PSC (for an additional £590) for a decision (generally) on the same day. Consider that if applying by post your wife will be without her passport until SET(M) is approved.
- Fee? does she pay NHS charge this time around too?
No.
- how long after gaining ILR, she can apply for BC. I
mmediately after, providing she meets all the standard requirements, including permitted absences and good character

Correction to Casa's post, the correct additional fee for in person same day appointment is £610 and not £590.

i assume that the two children (who are BC) aren't classed as dependent for purposes of fees for the ILR application?

and finally (i think) what is the benefit in using Settlement Checking Service? Is the fees for SCS same at any SCS location?

I don't have experience of SCS as I have always used the forum for advice and read the guides and applied in person.

For the B1 qualification, is it Listening and Speaking that is required or all 4 (reading and writing incl.) components. I am sure for A1 she only needed Listening/Speaking.
