Tier 2 General expires before qualify for ILR. Any loophole?

My current Tier 2 general visa expires a littelt before my 5 years qualification period.
  • I came to the UK with a student visa 2010- 2012
Switched to a PSW visa in 2012 which expired in 01/2014
Switched to a Tier 2 general visa 30/01/2014
Got 3 years visa, however after 2 years I was promoted so a new application had to be done as my job code changed.
New Tier 2 general visa was 3 years expiring 20/12/2018
I am due to qualify (5 years) for ILR on the 30/01/2019 but my tier 2 visa expires on the 20/12/2018, which means I would only have 4 years, 10 months and 22 days not 5 years exactly to qualify. My company does not wish to spend money on extending my visa my further and I do not want to pay for it is as I have just enough for the ILR application in January 2019

Is there any chance/ grace period loophole where I can apply without needing to renew the current visa I have? Happy to do same day applications.

Please any advice is helpful

Not really no. The earliest you can apply is within 28 days before reaching the 5 years from the date your visa was issued in 2014.
