ILR for tier 2, British partner and child

Hi all,

I would be really grateful if anyone can give advice on the best route for ILR.

I am currently on a 5-year Tier 2 visa, with the income over the threshold required to apply for an ILR. I am also married to a British citizen and have a child who is a British citizen. I am wondering if these circumstance play any role in my ILR application? My understanding is, to apply for an ILR based on 'British partner' would be impossible as I am on Tier 2.

Any advice is welcome!

Thanks in advance.

you should apply ILR via 5 years Tier 2 PBS route. and after granted, you can apply citizenship immediately as your partner is BC. You don't need to wait for 1 year after ILR.
