Hi guys, I am really confused about the acceptable Evidence for "Settled Status" for Tier 1 E Applications. My employees have only "Biometric Data Page of an EEA passport showing photograph and personal details". I was thinking these should be sufficient but reading further on the guidelines, number (iv) says, "if the employee is an EEA national, a UK registration certificate/permanent residence document"

Does this imply that I have to provide both EEA Biometric and UK registration certificate/permanent residence document. *** Can someone help me .

Many thanks in advance

According to the Tier 1 Visa guidelines,

{Copies of any of the following documents which demonstrate that each employee has settled status in the UK:

(i) the biometric data page of a British or EEA passport showing the photograph and personal details of the employee;

(ii) a birth certificate, showing the employee was born in the UK and Colonies before 1 January 1983;

(iii) if the employee was born in the UK on or after 1 January 1983, a birth certificate, together with documentation, such as a passport or naturalisation certificate, which confirms one of their parents had settled status in the UK when the employee was born, and additionally, if the parent is the employee’s father, a marriage certificate to the mother;

(iv) if the employee is an EEA national, a UK registration certificate/permanent residence document;

(v) if the employee is the spouse of an EEA national, the biometric data page of their passport, showing their photograph and personal details, or a residence card, and any of the documents in (i) or (iv) above which relate to the EEA national, together with their marriage certificate to the EEA national; or

(vi) If the worker is an overseas national with settled status in the UK, the biometric data page of their passport containing their photograph and personal details, and the pages where a UK Government stamp or an endorsement appear, or a biometric residence permit, or official documentation from the Home Office which confirms their settled status in the UK.

You need to read that properly. It is ANY ONE of the evidence from the list. The (i) clearly says for an EEA citizen a passport page copy is enough and acceptable. So you either send the passport copy OR a copy of their PR car

Is National Identity Card of an EEA citizen enough settled-status worker evidence in place of Passport. My employees are citizens of France but haven't got French Passports but only National Identity Card. I'm wondering if this is enough

You can provide “Any one document” from list you mention, either biodata page of employee’s EEA Passport or “ if the employee is an EEA national, a UK registration certificate/permanent residence document;”

None of them has Passport or UK registration certificate/permanent residence document. One has UK NI Number card and the other has p60 form. I'm very worried about this and need to be sure I'm not already in a big mess

Unless you provide the required documents, it will not be acceptable. You need to prove they are settled here with the documents required. NI number or P60 is not acceptable

But they both have their countries' National Identity Cards in addition to the P60 and NI Number. Do you mean that these are not enough?

National Identity cards are not mentioned in the rules but they have been accepted by HO
