Quick query: confusion about 5 year period start date.

Hi All,

I applied for my Tier 2 visa on 11/09/2013 via same day service and i got the letter saying my application has been approved.

But i received my BRP almost a month later and issue date on the BRP is 04/10/2013

so do i count the 5 year period from the approval date on the letter or issue date on BRP?

i would like apply as soon as possible but don't want to risk £3000 and a refusal because of a silly technicality.

Have any of you got first hand experience regarding this issue?

Thanks.
