Hi. i just want to ask for some help here. im a newbie here in this forum. just to make the story short. I am due to apply ILR on November and have CCJ in my name only because i am the guarantor. my questions is does it affect my application for ILR? i am willing to pay im just waiting for the response pack from the court but ofcourse i will pay this debt. But does UKBA refuse my ILR for having CCJ?

CCJ is simply a county court order to pay some debt and it is a civil issue. If you pay a CCJ within a month, the CCJ will be removed altogether from the register. So you should have nothing to worry for ILR. CCJs generally have no effect on ILR unless they remain unpaid without any arrangement/plan for debt repayment.

thank you for reply. my debt is around 8k so i cannot pay this on one go. i am planning for arrangement to pay. do i get an evidence from court or certificate if we both agreed how much will i pay? do i include this when i submit my application? thank you very much. i am very nervous about this.

Once your county court judgment is paid off, you can obtain a “Certificate of Satisfaction” from the court.
You do NOT need to declare this as I said above it is A CIVIL ISSUE. This will have no effect on your ILR

Hi. so lets say we agreed a repayment plan for my debt. they are asking me for £165 per month. so while i am paying this monthly and ask for certificate of satisfaction. i do NOT have to declare this on my application?

I repeat again, you need to declare ONLY convictions on the form. Civil issues are not relevant

I have applied for my ILR in January 2019. I have a CCJ which is not settled still which is 2627 pounds. This CCJ was issued in 2014 and I didn't care in fact. Now I'm worried and wants to pay and settle. Do you think my ILR application will get granted?
