My daughter (South African) has had ILR since she was 3 years old (currently 19) as I'm British and she was able to work fine up until a few months ago by just showing her ILR letter but now that employers are only accepting the BRP card so she recently applied for this (early June).

However, due to a relationship breakdown (plus not being able to work!) she has now moved back home with us. The problem is that she applied for the BRP on the address where she WAS living. We now have no idea how or who to contact to let them know of the change of address. Do the BRP cards actually have the address printed on them? If so, then it's even more urgent that we notify them.

Can anyone advise how we go about changing an address mid application?

A couple of further questions:

1. She only moved this weekend so obviously doesn't have any documents showing her new address. I'm assuming we'll have to wait until she does before doing the change of address form?

2. This part of the form:

You’ll need the following information to submit a change of address:

- your passport, BRP or ARC number

Passport is with the BRP application so no idea of the number
BRP is in progress so obviously don't have that
We have absolutely no idea what an ARC number is?

That does make it near impossible for us to do the change of circumstances form though!

Her passport is with them already, as part of her BRP application . . .

Can't supply a BRP number as that is what is in progress . . .

This is ridiculous.

Does she not have a copy of the passport or the completed form she sent??

Alternatively, does she have an application reference number??

If not, then perhaps setting up a Royal Mail redirection??

I've found some old paperwork with what I think is her most recent passport number on it so we will try the change of circumstance form with that and see what happens.
