Will they deny my BRP application?

Hello friends,

I have the old-fashioned sticker vignette of ILR in my now expired passport, which means I can't work without transferring to a BRP which I believe we all know. I went to apply online and see they're asking for absences over 6 months, which instantly made me concerned because frankly, why are they asking? Absences of a continuous 2 year stretch is what causes someone to lose ILR, but I have had more than 12 trips between the US and UK to see family for long periods of time, despite there never being a 2 year period where I didn't come back home to the UK.

Am I reading into this too much? My thinking is, "I haven't been gone for the continuous two year stretch so why do you care if I was gone even 6 months or more?" I stopped at step two because I wasn't sure if by applying I'm just opening a can of worms for no reason.

Any accurate advice greatly welcomed. Thank you for taking the time to help xx

We'd need to know the timeline of your absences to really be able give any useful advice.
