Hi everyone,
I am eligible to apply for ILR from 11th August 2018(28 days before 5 years). My 5years completes on 7th september.
unfortunately nearest appointment i got is on 4th september and my current COS expires on 3rd september.
In my BRP, it says end date is 17/09/2018. So I am confusec here.
Will i have problem if i apply for ILR on 4th sept since my cos expired on 3rd?
Or should I get new cos letter from my current employer?
I will try to reschedule my appoitment to earliest if i get one but if i dont then what should i do?

Visa end date matters and superceed the dates present in yours COS... as long as you have a date of application within your visa end date i dont see any problem

Thank you very much.
Just wanted to check one more thing. What if i told my company to assign me new COS just to be in safe side? since COS has 2 months validity I will just keep and apply for ILR and then if something happens then I can use COS to extend visa? will this cause problem if i have COS assigned and I apply for ILR?
Thanks in advance.

Unpaid leave mention in absence letter

Hello All,
I am applying for ILR soon and i am in a process of creating absence letter from my current company.
What happened is, when I switched job from my previous employer to current employer, after I got BRP card, before I start working for my current company I took 22 days holidays of unpaid leave which was approved from my current employer.
Now my question is, can I put this in absence letter where it states all annual paid leave so I will add this and tell it is unpaid leave or do i need separate absence letter which has only unpaid leave?
Thanks in advance.

From My perception, Separate letter will make your application looks complex. Just get everything in same letter as approved leaves.
I am also having some unpaid leaves (12 days) and i got this in same letter as approved letter. Not specifically mentioned as unpaid as i don want to make my application looks complex. I am due for my ILR in few more days.
Wait for senior members to respond.

Hi,
Thanks for reply. If possible could you please send me format of your letter? It would be really helpful.
