ILR information required regarding overstaying

Hi
I applied for a student visa in Jan-2010, in Mar-2010 I got a letter from home office stating that the college no longer has sponsor licence therefore cannot grant a visa. But they also stated that I have 2 months to change college and send application again (which I did within 24 days of receiving the letter from home office).
My question now is, will this count as overstaying?
It is important to mention here that I have applied for a couple of TIER-4, then PSW and then a couple of TIER-2 applications and I never mentioned this scenario as overstaying in any of these application.
Now I am making application for ILR (10 years route), Should I mention it as overstaying or it is not counted as overstaying?
Thanks in advance for your help.
