Is Tax Bill a Problem For ILR?

Hello,

I am working with Tier2 General Visa and will be eligible to ILR soon. I have recently noticed that HMRC sent a message to me saying I paid too little tax in 2017-2018 year and owe them a few hundred pounds because of my private medical insurance. Since I am under PAYE, I thought my employer was deducting necessary amount but apparently not. It says I need to pay until Jan 2019 or will face penalties or interest. If I pay before Jan 2019, is this likely to be an issue in ILR application (I read previous posts about tax issues but not exactly same).

I haven't received P800 or similar form yet. Does it matter if I pay before/after?

Thanks.

Is this medical insurance paid through work that you were meant to pay tax on?

Should be fine as that is something your employer should have deducted tax for.

Pay what is due, keep all the paperwork.
