I am writing this to get some sort of advice on my ILR 10 year route application. i came into the uk (20 feb 2009) my visa was issued (13 feb 2009), so by 2019 February i should be completing 10 years. however my issue is that my current visa expires (01-feb-2009) leaving me about 18 days short of my 10 years. Would this affect my visa application for ILR, or MUST i apply for some sort of extension.

From 2009-2013 i was on diplomatic visa
2013-2019 on Tier 4 visa

please advise me further?

You can apply within 28 days before reaching 10 years counted from the date of ENTRY to the UK, provided you meet all the requirements.
