PBS Dependent Visa Title query

Hi,
I had a Tier 2 (General) from 2012 to 2017 and in Aug 2017 I got an ILR.
My wife got her first PBS dependent visa in year 2013 and the second one in year 2016.
While applying the second PBS dependent, she have gone out of the country ( before visa expiry) and than have applied her second visa from abroad so in total there is a 3 months & 1 week gap.
First Visa Title:
Tier2 Partner (Name)
Second Visa Title:
PBS Dependent
Leave to Remain
What is this a difference between the above type of visas?
Is the continuous period broken because of the gap?
Is she eligible for an ILR now?

It's the same category visa, tier 2 dependent.
What date did her visa expire when she was abroad and what date did she submit and pay for the new entry clearance visa??

Many thanks for your advice. following are the dates;
1) Visa was expiring on 12/Aug/2016
2) Left UK on 11/Aug/2016
3) Visa application appointment (in Canada) on 07/Nov/2016
4) PBS Dependent granted on 16/Nov/2016
5) Travelled back to UK on 23/Nov/2016
Is she eligible for an ILR now?

Application we made for the second visa:
Category: Tier 2(General Shortage Occupation) Visa
Type: General Shortage Occupation Partner, Up to 3 Years
Sate Submitted Online: 26/Oct/2016

Currently on my mobile phone but will check the details when I get home but my understanding is that as she applied for her new visa in Canada more than 28 days after the expiry of the previous visa, the continuity of residence is broken and she starts the 5 years again from scratch.

She would apply to extend her PBS dependent visa.

Which application form should we start filling to extend the PBS Dependent visa as I already have an ILR from Aug 2017?
For future knowledge,
Get another 3 years PBS dependent visa and than we will be able to apply for an ILR?
The new 5 years will be counted from 23/Nov/2016?

Success story and I thought its best to update this thread so it might be a help for others.
After my ILR via Tier2 General route and, my family's 5 year is not complete.
Despite I holding an ILR, we have applied TIer2 Dependednt extension for another 3 years and once 5 years will be complete, we will for the family's ILR application.
Total visa application (by post) time 5 weeks.
