URGENT: Holidays while on Employment gap

I am on Tier 2 and have ILR due in few months. I have couple of questions for the experts.

1) If you have employment gap do you need to provide proof of that for ILR? If yes then what sort of proof is required?

2) Can you take holidays during employment gaps? Does this break your continues stay period?
