Updating ILR online application after submit

Post by naveen14 » Wed Oct 10, 2018 8:57 am

Hi All,

I submitted my ILR application online. I made couple of mistakes. I answered no for these following question,

1. Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?
2. Do you currently hold, or have you ever held, any other nationality or citizenship?

Is that ok to change these to Yes in printed form?

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.
One more question
If i change that to Yes. Do i need to write any other details there.
For example, Country Name, Date, Reason
In my case, I born in India but never lived any other country until i came to UK.

Than you very much

ILR Document required

Post by naveen14 » Thu Oct 11, 2018 8:02 am

Hi Guys,

Could you please help me with the documents required to submit on ILR appointment. I am not sure which document for this following question.

"For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the
relevant requirements of the immigration rules. For further information concerning the evidence required,
please refer to the Tier 2 migrant policy guidance on our website"

Many thanks in advance

It depends on what other UK visas you have held. If you have only held Tier 2, then ignore the question.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Before Tier 2 General, I had PSW (Post study work) Visa and Student visa. So what is document required for that please.

Student visa is stamped in my passport but PSW visa i got that in card but when i applying tier 2 general they get that card back.

Many thanks again

Did you not keep a copy of the PSW BRP??

If you do, simply submit copies of your previous visas.

Note thought that this particular question is usually for applicants who are combing a qualifying visa with Tier 2 for 5 years ILR, i.e. Tier 1.

Thank you CR001 for the reply,

I am in Tier 2 General visa for 5 years. i don't think i have a copy of that PSW BRP, I have a letter from Home Office saying that says your visa is approved. is that works?

One more question is i made a mistake in the following question in online application and submitted it.

Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?

I answered No this. Can I change Yes in the printed form? What else i need to do for this question? Do i need to Enter country name, Date, Reason. I am just lived in one country i.e India

Thanks for you help. Much appreciated

Correct errors by hand, as has been advised 100s of times on the forum.

You will need to provide the additional information that the form would have asked you if you had answered yes.

Letter of PSW should be fine if HO asks for it.
