Will a refused Tier 2 Visa record affect my ILR application?

Hi all,

Due to an administrative error (more details here uk-tier-2-employer-sponsored-visas/appl ... 67227.html) It turns out there is a chance my Tier 2 Visa will be refused (as I might have applied too early), which will be added to my immigration record.

I am hugely worried if this will affect my chances of applying for ILR later next year. Does anyone have any experience with this? Will a refused Tier 2 visa affect ILR applications?

Note that even if the Tier 2 extension is refused, I still have a valid Tier 2 visa at my current employer's, so I will not be overstaying or illegal in any way.

No. A previous refusal will not have any effect if it was not related to your character/conduct
