Do I meet the financial requirement?

Hi everyone, brief question (hopefully).
This year, I earned a gross PAYE salary of approx £3k a month, until my job came to an end July 31st.
( 7 months of salary, working out at £21k.)
In addition, in my final July paycheque, I was paid a severance of an additional £17k (approximately).
( That money is still available, but has been sliced up and thrown around various accounts, so it's a messy picture)
Is the above enough to satisfy the basic financial requirement, regardless of post July financial activity?
Many thanks for your insight.

Financial requirement for what?
You need to provide more information on your immigration status so it becomes easier to get an accurate response

To the OP, what is the basis of your ILR application? Are you applying on the basis of having a PBS visa or as the spouse of somebody who has resides in the UK? If the latter, what is the basis of their residence in the UK?

Apologies for not being clear enough. I'm the UK husband, my wife has just about completed her 5 years FLR here. We have one child together (british citizen). So this is a visa for my wife's indefinite leave to remain. The basic financial requirement we have to meet is £18,600.
I'm looking for the simplest way to show I met that requirement, given the income I posted above (up to July end) and the £17k tax-free severance lump sum I was paid at end of that employment. (Which I don't think I can use in relation to savings because 6 months hasn't elapsed since the time I was paid it, to the date I need to get the wife's application off by. Unless this lump sum is treated as income from employment rather than savings?)
Many thanks

Are you working at the moment because you need to be working and earning over £18,600 at the time of the application.
Or have enough savings over the last 6 months to meet the financial requirement, which is something like over £42,000. Not sure of the exact figure.

Hi Anthony,
Thanks for your reply. I am working at present for an upstart business, but payments across the last six months will be variable. However, if it has to be based on that, then I guess if you average out the payments over the past six months, then multiply it by twelve, my estimated annual gross would be at least 18,600.
The 17k lump sum I was paid at the end of my last employment (in July), would that be counted towards my gross annual income, since it was income from my employment.
Thanks for your insight.
