Hi Everyone,
I need your advice for someone regarding the 10 year route for ILR.
"She is on student visa doing PhD and it expires in June 2021. Meanwhile, her 10 year legal stay in the UK would be completed in Oct 2019. She asked me to seek advice in the following matters.
1. When she applies to ILR, will her student visa be curtailed once she gets ILR?
2. What are the key documents needed to apply?
3. Can she do one day application?
4. She has 3 dependents who came to this country in 2011: a spouse, a girl aged 12 and a son aged 9 now. They will be in this country for 8 years in Oct 2019--by the time she would be eligible to apply for ILR. Will her dependents be eligible to apply with her? If not, what would be their status after that?
Thank you very much.
Regards.

1. ILR supercedes her student visa, i.e. her student visa will automatically be cancelled as she will hold ILR if approved.

2. She should read the form and guidance notes. Very little required for ILR LR.

3. The service has recently changed, see link below.

4. No, long residence ILR does NOT permit dependents to apply with her. They will have to switch to FLR(M) and meet the English and Financial requirements.
