Hello everyone,

From 1st November 2018, Home Office has a new list or English language provider. Home Office requires
speaking and listening qualification at level B1 or above from the Secure English Lan guage Test (SELT) list

I am spouse visa and completing 5 years very soon and will be applying for ILR (my Husband present and settled in the UK)

I have 2 Questions

- I did my Life in the UK Test in NOVEMBER 2013. Can i still use it and is it still valid?

- I did University of Cambridge ESOL Council of Europe Level B1 (pass) in AUGUST 2013. I used the same certificate when I applied first time for 5yrs spouse visa and 2nd extension of spouse visa. Can I still use this Certificate for my ILR.

Please refer to this link as it says that test validity is 2 years but when I applied for the second extension of spouse visa in December 2016, Home office accepted it.

Thanks

LIUK does not expire.

For English test, to use an expired test, it must be from a provider on the HO approved list AND a test on the current approved list.

HO no longer accept esol.
