Confusion about payment in the online set O form

Hi all,

My husband is qualifying for ILR via tier 2 general 5 year route. Well due to the urgency of booking a premium service appointment, booked and paid for the application online and secured an appointment for 22 november in Solihull. While filling the form online he came across the payment section.

Shall we cancel the appointment and go ahead with filling the form online and book a new appointment or shall we leave the payment section empty as we have already paid.

We would appreciate if someone cam help and tell a way out as we donot want to risk loosing the already booked appointment.

Also, I have seen in other posts that people are talking about the form to be around 80 pages long but the set (o) my husband has been filling doesnt look at long at all

Many thanks in advance
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

The new visa system started 1st November 2018. Once you fill out the form online it takes you at the “payment” section at the end. After the payment you book the appointment on third party website. I am not sure where you get the other payment page if you already have paid.

The 80 pages was the old SET O form. Having said that, you did not have to fill out every thing as it was a generic form and applicants had to fill out relevant sections.

The new online form is based on applicants individual situations and it is pretty easy to fill. Once you fill it out it gives you a PDF file and the pages are very less compared to the old paper form (I am Tier 1, mine was 10 pages only). So as long as you have filled out all sections dont worry about the number of pages.

Many thanks for your reply.

Well when we booked premium service it gave two options to choose from new or existing service. So we chosed existing service and booked the appointment and paid around £3074 if am not wrong for the premium service apointment at 8:00 am.

My question is, Should we go ahead and fill the archived set(o) paper form or fill the online form and leave the payment section empty. ( we really dnt want to risk loosing the premium service appointment)

Also, thanks for clarifying as our form was only about 9-10 pages.

Could somebody please suggest something.
Should we just go ahead and fill the paper application and see if they accept it at the centre.

We booked it on 9 november , if the new system which says that the form has to be filled online only was strictly in place than why did the system even let us book the appointment.

You are fine. You can use the paper form till 29th November. It will be accepted. There are many other similar posts in this forum where members have confirmed that (please search those)
However, you will have to use the paper form now as you have chosen existing service.

Please check the links CR001 has posted. It is pinned to the top of this forum which will give you better understanding.

I think you would have to use paper form with existing service till 29th Nov. After 29th the premium centres will be closing down.

Please wait for senior members to confirm this.
