Hi there,

I'm currently holding tier2 dependant visa and due to apply ILR in May 2020. I want to know as per the new rules release in January 2018 for 180 days out of country. Below is my situation where I want to travel out of country without breaking the rule, when can I travel and for how much duration can I travel next year 2019.

2015 May 22 first Entry to UK on Tier2 general PBS dependant.
travelled out of country in 2017 august for 30 days.
Travelled out of country in 2018 from february 28 2018 to august 25 2018 continuous for 178days.

Please let me know, Thanks.
Ashi.

Only this absence is relevant and counted. Any absence before 11 January does not get counted.

It is counted in 12 month cycles counting backwards from the date you apply for ILR.

Thanks for the reply.

Can I know is it back dated for the last 12 months from the date of ILR application or is it rolling monthly from the date of application(i.e, lets say im applying ILR in may 2020 and the 180days is verified from the date of application towards back each individual month "may to may(180days)", april to april(180days) etc?)

Please let me know thanks.
