Indefinite Leave to Remain - Spouse Visa

My wife came to the UK on a 5 year route spouse visa in January 2014. After 2.5 years I applied for renewal. This was rejected as I forgot to do the finger print scan but instead they gave us another visa which was under the 10 year route because we had a child.

I applied again and this time i was given a new 2.5 year visa starting at the beginning meaning the first 2.5 years was wasted.

In December 2019 her new 2.5 year visa will be expiring.

Am I able to apply for an Indefinite Leave to Remain or will I have to wait until he 5 years is complete under the new visa as she would have completed her 5 years in January 2020.

Which application form did you apply on for this one?

If you used FLR(M),then she has to extend for a further 2.5 years before she qualifies for ILR.

Yes I applied again with FLR(M).

It's frustrating to know that she will have to do another 2.5 years as it outs the first 2..5 years to waste. Even more frustrating when dealing with immigration services with regards to visa's.
