Hello All,

I've entered into UK on tier2 general visa in Jan2014 and now eligible for ILR in Jan2019 on 5 year route. My wife has entered UK in May2014 as my dependent (Tier2 General Dependent).

we both have our current visa validity until DEC2019, however my doubt is,

1) Shall I go ahead applying ILR just for myself and leave my wife on tier2 dependent, which have the validity until Dec2019.

2) I would like to apply for her ILR after MAY2019 when is will become eligible for it in 5 year dependent route.#

3) we are also expecting baby due in may2019, shall I still opt for an indian passport for the baby ? even if I am on ILR ?

Please advice , as I am a bit confused what to do with dependent on tier2 having valid visa until dec2019. but changing main applicant's status to ILR.

Thanks in advance.

What is the issue date of you wifes initial visa? In your wife's case, it is the date the visa was ISSUED that starts the clock for ILR.
You can apply for ILR alone or together thats your choice but only once shes eligible

2) I would like to apply for her ILR after MAY2019 when is will become eligible for it in 5 year dependent route.# Incase she is eligible from May2019, you can apply her ILR later on after yourself

3) we are also expecting baby due in may2019, shall I still opt for an indian passport for the baby ? even if I am on ILR ?
You can register your baby as British Citizen born in UK once you have your ILR via MN1 form. You dont need an indian passport (you can if you want one though).

Please advice , as I am a bit confused what to do with dependent on tier2 having valid visa until dec2019. but changing main applicant's status to ILR.does not matter she can carry on PBS dependent as long her leave is valid

Thanks in advance.
