Hi All,

My wife is on ILR and I am planning to apply for British Citizenship in a month's time. She is not planning to apply now as she may move to another country for couple of years for work. Will her ILR expire if she does not live in the UK continuously ?

Is it true that as long as I hold British Citizenship, her ILR will not expire ?

Yes. Being absent for 2 or more years and her ILR lapses. Short visits don't necessarily maintain status. She might have to apply for a returning resident visa.
