Hi all

I am new to this forum and I have noted the good work the community members and gurus have done in helping everyone in their immigration journey.

I had a question about 10 year long residency. I am a Tier 1 Entrepreneur dependent and I have been in the UK legally throughout this period. I wanted to know how I can secure my detailed immigration history for my stay in the UK till date from the Home Office. Also, what documents are needed to apply for the 10 year LR route.

I will appreciate all help and guidance in this.

Many thanks

Subject Access Request for your history. You should know what visas you have held though.

Details are clear on the minimal documents for ILR LR. See archived paper form and guidance notes below.

No. Your dependants can only apply for ILR either at the same time with you or after you were granted ILR under PBS
Hi Zimba

I am a Tier 1 entrepreneur dependent and was planning to apply for 10 year long residency on the basis of lawful stay in the UK. I came in as a student and was on student visa for approximately 2 years followed by 2 years on PSW visa and then went on to become a Tier 1 Entrepreneur dependent without any breaks.

As mentioned by you in the case of the PBS dependent, do I have to wait for my partner to apply for ILR before I apply for my SET (LR) application or it does not affect Long residency applications as I would have completed the 10 year stay requirement.

Kind regards

1. Please do NO tag your questions onto an ILR topic that is NOT relevant to your questions and circumstances.

2. Long Residence rules are separate and different to Tier 1 rules. What zimba was referring to was ILR based on Tier 1 and NOT long residence.

Hi all

I am writing in relation to a 10 year long residency application.

I am planning to make an ILR application in 3 months time. I wanted to know whether making a basic request for information for a 10 year application or whether I need to make a specific or a detailed request as per the options on the HO website.

I have tried looking for this information on the immigration boards forum but there is no specific post detailing this.

A shout out to all the gurus. I will appreciate a bit of guidance on this.

Many thanks

What information ? SAR will show everything they hold on your file. You must also submit any evidence you have like all the passports you held
