T1 E to ILR Unknown CCJ after Submitting Application

Dear members,

I have encountered a very tricky situation now. My business partner (we are T1 E team members) just told me today when he randomly checked his credit score, he found out that there is an unknown CCJ against him name. The court date is quite recent from last month. I reckon he did not receive it due to house moving couple of months ago. But we have already submitted ILR application. He obviously did not declare this CCJ as he didn't aware of it. Now he is trying to figure out more information about this CCJ.

My questions are:

1. What should he do under this circumstance. Should he contact Home Office to explain it?
2. Will I be affected as a team member?

Thank you very much for your answer!

CCJs do not affect your ILR

CCJs do not affect your ILR
Hi Zimba,

Thank you very much for your reply. I am 100% sure it doesn't affect ILR when it was paper application. As the application form did not ask for civil matters. Now the online version has a specific box to tick, declaring someone does have CCJ. To my understanding, if you have one, then declare it. Then it won't affect anything. But as I said it's very tricky as he just knew it while application already submitted...

So, following this topic, as the CCJ is quite recent,my partner decided to pay it in full within 30 days of the CCJ issue date. The government website says that pay in full within 30 days, the CCJ will be removed/cancelled from the Register. So I suppose that it is still OK for my partner to tick “No” to the relevant box? :( We just don't know how long it takes for court to remove the CCJ from system...

Many thanks for answering!
