ILR through 5 years under Tier 2 --- Documents required

I'm about to make an application for ILR through 5 years under Tier 2 (General) visa. I have filled in the online application form but I have a few questions regarding the documents required:
1) I was asked for "Evidence of immigration status in the UK" which I thought was my current BRP; but at the end of the list, I was ask to provide "Current Biometric Residence Permit". So now I don't know what document I can use as "evidence of immigration status". Do we allow to use BRP for both?
2) Please, what do people provide as this document? "For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules. For further information concerning the evidence required, please refer to the Tier 2 migrant policy guidance on our website." Prior to my current Tier 2 BRP, I had a student visa and then a PSW visa and then my first Tier 2 BRP --- are these the documents this questions referring to?
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Many thanks!
