Spouse financial requirements.

Hi All,

I need your advise on Spouse Financial requirements.

My wife is a British citizen and i have completed my 5 years in UK on my spouse visa. Now i'm eligible for ILR on 5 years route (From 15th Feb 2019).

As per the financial requirement spouse should show minimum income requirement as £18,600. But for the last two months she is on break and not getting any salary from her employer. My financial income is £ 70K.

My question is really my wife should show her last 6 months payslips or my pay slips would be sufficient? Does she really required to work?

Please advise?

Thanks
PK

Hi CR001,

Thank you so much for the replay and just to confirm myself again, my last 6 months Pay slips would suffice and not required to submit my wife's payslips? Is that correct?

Thank you in advance.

Thanks
PK

Can someone please confirm? Does it really require to submit my wife's (not applicant) payslips? Sorry to bother you but would like to get a clear understanding before wasting my money on the application.

Thanks
PK

That's correct, either yours, her's or both. so far as any meets the 18,600.

Hi ,

I have a query regarding my address proof as part of my ILR - 5 years spouse route.

While submitting the application i need to show last 2 years of my/my wife's and together address proofs.

Could you please advise below would be valid for the address proofs?

1. 1 year back i bought a flat in UK and it is in both the names. Would all the letters from the property builder is a valid address proof?

2. All the letters from the maintenance agency would be valid?

3. Home insurance letters from the vendor?

4. Life insurance quote/confirmation letters from the insurer?

Please advise on the above?

Thanks
RP

Spouse visa set (M) partner's passport submission

Hi Experts,

Soon i'm going to submit my ILR spouse visa (5 years route) and i have completed (Almost completed) the online application.

But, as part of the documents i have to submit my spouse (British citizen) passport? I'm 'not' submitting my application by post. I'm going to take an appointment and submit my documents.

Now my question is, do i need to submit my spouse passport or can i submit scanned copies of my spouse PP?

Please advise? Depending on your answer i would continue with the application.

Thanks
RP.

Copy/scan is fine for spouse BC passport.

Can you also please keep ALL your questions on the same application in ONE topic, merged again.

Hi CR001,

Thank you for the quick reply.

Online form says

"The passport or travel document for xxxxxxx from British Citizen

If you are making your application by post, you can send a complete copy of your partner's current passport or travel document. Every page of the passport must be copied including any blank pages"

Here they never say anything if we submit in person. Just scanned copies will be sufficient or it needs to be certified?

I have another question.
They asked me for below documents.

"Documents supporting my other reasons to stay in the UK"

Is it normal to all applicants or only specific to certain applicants?

PS : Sorry about opening number of topics and i'll post here all my questions.

Thanks
RP.

I have a question regarding my ILR Spouse visa (M).

I have submitted my set (m) application online yesterday and my appointment date is 28th Feb.

No you cant. If you travel outside UK your application maybe considered withdrawn or void.

Thank you for the response. Sorry if my question was not that clear.

I meant to ask can I travel for 5 days before my appointment? I’ll be available for the interview but have to travel for 5 this week?

Still my application would be void?

Hi All,

Can somebody please let me know what are the "Evidence of council tax costs for the
accommodation in the UK where you live or will live" supporting documents?

Please can you give me some example documents to support the above?

Thanks,
RP

Hi CR001,

Thank you for the quick reply. I have another question regarding Child Benfit.

My wife is a BC and she is been receiving child benfit for our 2 kids (both below 3 years and both British citizens) every month.

Is it going to affect my ILR (M) application?

Please advise?

Thanks
RP.

I forgot to mention that I was selected ‘No’ to public funds option while filling up my application.

Now I’m bit worried about this CHB and please advise ?
