ILR Dependent when to file

Hello,
I came to UK since May-2014 on a Tier 2 ICT, and then my wife switched to Tier 2 General on 01-June-2016. I then switched into PBS dependent on 12-Sep-2016. Now, the end date on our visas is 01-June-2021. My wife can file for her ILR 28 days before 01-June-2021 (somewhere in May 2019).
My questions are
1. My visa expires on 1-June-2021, but I will not complete 5 year period before 12-Sep-2021. How do I get an extension of my leave without resetting my 5 year settlement period?
2. Our kids switched from my to wife's dependents on 08-July-2016 and their visa runs out on 1-June-2021. I am not sure they can file their ILR till I get mine. If thats the case, will I need to get an extension for them?

Surely you mean 'MAY 2021'??

Apply for a PBS Dependent extension. It will be a 3 year extension. IHS (currently £1200) and visa fee payable and 90 days maintenance funds of £630.
2. Our kids switched from my to wife's dependents on 08-July-2016 and their visa runs out on 1-June-2021. I am not sure they can file their ILR till I get mine. If thats the case, will I need to get an extension for them?
They can likely only apply for ILR when you do. The requirement is that they can apply with one parent, as long as the other is already settled (i.e. holds ILR). Are they born abroad or UK born?

Apply for a PBS Dependent extension. It will be a 3 year extension. IHS (currently £1200) and visa fee payable and 90 days maintenance funds of £630. Ohh dear, I just need 2 months extension. Is there no alternative for a shorter duration without resetting the clock?

2. No there is no shorter route. You should have applied for dependent visa as soon as your spouse got her visa in 2016.
4. Yes for the child, same as for you re fees. Maintenance fund 2 x £630 for 90 days.
