This is one of the best forums I have seen and thank you for all the contributions and advises so far.

I currently hold a Tier 2 general VISA(Main applicant,2016-2019), sponsored by my employer. The SOC code for my role is 2119 and visa was issued on Nov 2016 to December 2019 but in September 2017 I moved to a new job within in the same team, same employer and I am not sure if my employer has informed the home office about this job change.

And I am due for ILR in July 2019 do you think this is going to be an issue?

1. Do I need to arrange a new CoS application through my employer and apply for a new VISA if I have moved to a new job role but under the same SOC code 2119?
2. Do I need to arrange a new CoS application through my employer and apply for a new VISA if I have moved to a new job role but under the different SOC code?


Can you please advise me what to do

Hi,

No, my initial Tier 2 general visa was issued on Aug 2014- Dec 2016
And my Tier 2 general extension visa was issued on Nov 2016- Dec 2019.
So, I am on tier 2 general visa since the beginning but I am worried about the change of Job before ILR and I am not sure if my employer has informed the Home office.

Just an update, my HR stated my current job falls in the same SOC code and we do not need to apply for a new application.
I changed the Job in 2017 but they have forgotten to report to UKVI and they reported this change now.
Hopefully, everything will be ok for my ILR.

Do you think it's too late to report to UKVI?

Please advise.

I was wondering if there will be an issue due to delay in updating the SMS regarding change of Job?
My employer reported to the home office after one and half year (i.e. Feb 2019).
Do I need to go via a solicitor or can I apply on my own?
