Submission During Weekend and SMS question

Hi All,

I'm preparing to submit my ILR through Tier 2 (General) route.

1. 28 days in advance of the Tier 2 visa issue date is not 28 working days right?

2. If so, it seems like i can submit the online application on a Saturday based on that 28 days rule. Is that ok that I submit the online application during the weekend and will i receive immediate booking code to book further appointment for biometric and photos in UKVCAS system? Or i have to wait for a working day?

3. I have my title and salary changed last summer and my HR only updated in to the system 4 months later and just before Xmas. The home office updated record is SOC stayed the same so i don't need another visa etc, new salary has also been updated at that time. This increase is only for myself as that's promotion. Would the late update cause any trouble for me?

Thank you so much for the help!

Thank you tier11417.

I planned to submit on Sat and pay extra 100 quid to book a next day appointment for Monday, is that possible? Or would that affect me to go to appointment without receiving HO case ID email?

Thank you!

HO case ID email is irrelevant. Some people receive it the same day. Some dont receive it even for a week or later.

All you need is a booking confirmation email (which is barcoded) to attend the appointment.

The next day appointment really depends on which area you live and what the availability really is. The core centres (only 6 in UK) or the london premium lounge is quick if you pay/or even quick within 5/7 days if you go for free but to be honest the enhanced libraries have disappointed me. I am looking for an appointment for my wife at an enhanced centre and no availability for next 2 weeks. But there is at a core centre if you pay/willing to travel.

So really depends which centre you will prefer, what your area is and if you will be willing to travel to attend at a core centre if its far from you.

Next day will be Sunday not monday btw. The system will give you prices based on availability anyways.
