Dear all,

UK Tier 2 G visa was stamped & issued to me & my wife on14th May 2014.
VISA stamp & Issue date: 14th May 2014 (both)
UK entry date: 25th May 2014 (myself)
UK entry date: 14th June 2014(my wife)

1) Can we both apply at the same time or my wife has to wait for 5 years?

2) Based on the dates I am planning to apply on 16th-18th April 2019, does this sound ok?

3) Can you please advise when I can fill that UKVCAS online application, can I initiate online application prior to 28 days and book appointment with in 28 days period?
or ia it something that online application n appointment both muat fall under 28 days.

Why don’t you take time to read the policy guidelines and check requirements for your visa category. There has been lots of applicants in your category that has posted their documents list on the platform. Try and look through the platform

I have been gone through this portal which is helpful however I am bit nervous as my ILR Application is due next month and would need your help to finalize all the documents beforehand.

I am Tier 2 PBS Main applicant and has 2 dependents (wife + UK born child) and following the 5 years route.
Main Applicant:
VISA Issues on: 14 May 2014

4:English Test Pass Certificate
5:Salary Slips for last 6 months

7:Utility Bill/Address Proof (Current address or past addresses as well?)
8:Absence excel sheet - Break up
9:Employment Letter with "foreseeable future"

Q1: Have I missed any other document in both cases?

Q3: I am not planning to apply for ILR for my UK born child she will be eligible for Citizenship once I get the ILR, Is that correct?
Q4: Once parents get the ILR, can we go on short holidays out of UK along with our child who has dependent visa and post holidays we'll apply Citizenship for her once we are back in UK? Will there be any issue?
Q5: Can I start filling up the online form and save it for now and will submit the application on 16th or 17th April once I am eligible for ILR? Will there be any issues with that?

Note your cohab documents need to cover 2 years.

There is NO absence limit for PBS Dependents who have visas issued before 11th January 2018. There is NO requirement to declare absences etc.

Tenancy, council tax, bank statements and utilities should suffice. If they are in joint names, fine. This is for your dependent.

1) How could I classify my absence leaves. for example: I have taken more than allocated leaves (i.e. 35 & 40) in two years however they are still under 180 days clause. Can I classify all my leaves as personal leaves as they were actually personal or do I need to be more specific like annual leaves, personal leaves, tourism etc..

Tier 2 Dependent:
2) Cohabitation documents: In last 2 years I have moves 3 houses.. in May 2017, April 2018 & Nov 2018 so we have a tanancy agreement on our names, couple of joint bank statement and my wife has Hospital & GP letters on her name. Since I am getting paperless bills on my name so can I use paperless bill as a cohabitation document?

Do you think above documents will be enough for this?

1. Just classify them as what they were taken for. E.g sick leave, annual leave etc

2. Above documents will be fine. Also it doesn’t matter if it’s paperless once it carries the logo of the company etc and it’s on their letterhead

I have got another query, please help me.

Do I need to contact my council to get any sort of address proof for me and spouse? One of my friend suggested to get a letter from them and when I called them they had no clue what sort of letter they can provide.

So is that really required? If I have bank statement or any other utility bills for previous months, will that not be sufficient for the same?

You don’t need to contact council for that. If you have the bank statement and other utility bills in your name is fine. Do you pay council tax.

2) For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules. For further information concerning the evidence required, please refer to the Tier 2 migrant policy guidance on our website

3) Declaration signed by Mr XX XXX to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks.
[AS]: Is it the same consent form available while filling up the application? so I just need to download and submit the signed copy, is that right?

Nothing you need to provide. This is relevant to those combining Tier 1 time and Tier 2 time to make up 5 years for ILR.
