T2G to ILR

Post by Dilliwalah » Fri Apr 26, 2019 12:27 pm

Dear All

First date of entry - 05-05-2010 - T2 ICT (Established Staff)
Changed to Tier 2 General - 03-04-2015 - in UK
Wife arrived on - 11-10-2015 - Tier 2 General Dependent

Child born - 25-03-2018 - No passport, Not registered with home country embassy.

I am eligible for ILR - 05-03-2020 (5 years on T2G, 28 days ahead)

My questions

1. I will apply for my ILR, what visa I need to apply for my wife?
2. Do I need to apply wife visa after I get my ILR or alongwith my ILR?
3. Can I apply for child british passport after I get my ILR?

Thanks to you all. This forum is doing great service to humanity!

1. I will apply for my ILR, what visa I need to apply for my wife?
She remains under PBS dependant route
2. Do I need to apply wife visa after I get my ILR or alongwith my ILR?
When her visa is about to expire, apply for PBS dependant
3. Can I apply for child british passport after I get my ILR?
You can register your child as British citizen using form MN1 after you get ILR

Thanks a lot but her visa expiry is same date as mine
2. Do I need to apply wife visa after I get my ILR or alongwith my ILR?
When her visa is about to expire, apply for PBS dependant

Her visa expiry is same as mine what should I do in that case? As I will apply for my ILR and will need to wait for my decision and this could run her leave out?
3. Can I apply for child british passport after I get my ILR?

Thanks for the clarification!

Apply for PBS dependent visa for her as well. Include a covering letter that her application should be put on hold until your ILR is decided.

Thanks for your reply.

Is this the standard process to request hold via cover letter?

Once i receive ILR (i will apply under super priority) can i wait for my decision before applying her.
If decision not received within 2 week I will apply for her visa. What do I need to inform to home office once I get my ILR(late) in that case.

Sorry just confused how it works?

Thanks for your guidance and support.

Thanks for your reply.

In regards to Employer Absence Letter:

I had to go to Home Country when my father expired for over a month, however my employer told me not to apply leaves during that time as a courtesy.

Can you please let me know how should I report this in absence letter?

I have other weekend European holidays which are not on the employee system. Some holidays were treated as TOIL as i did overtime?

Please can some senior member clarify?

Thanks for you help. This is great help to humanity.

Your employer should say that all absences from work were approved by them. It is not about specific periods.

Thanks for your reply.

Even if they are not logged in the company tool as long as company confirm they are OK. Thanks for clarifying.

Does this need HR or my manager letter will be OK on company letter head?

Correct. There are no format requirements. As long as all your absences from work were approved by them

Thank you again.

Should I mention each and every absence when I was not in UK by dates

or

can the letter just say all leaves were approved by the company without providing dates?

Refer to this - indefinite-leave-to-remain/employer-let ... 67381.html

You can write a similar absence letter and get it signed by your HR.

Thanks, yes i will be applying online as Priority application (£800 extra)

Why are you submitting the below documents??

Just proof of house address and P60 for employment for 5 years (it is optional but yes)
12. Gas / Electricity / Water Bills – 3 months
13. Latest Council Tax
14. Latest P60 form – this is not requiring but I have attached with application (2014-2019)

I will be applying PSB dependent for wife as he has 6 months remaining for 5 year period. I will apply with cover letter to say to process her application after my application decision is made.

Child was born in UK so i will be applying to register as British citizen (MN1 form).

Thanks for your support.

I arrived in UK on Tier2 ICT but changed to T2G. On the absence sheet I will only mention days i was off work after I switched to T2G (T2 ICT employer was different)?

Does the absence letter need to be signed by HR or Line manager is OK?

1. I have specifically asked you above to NOT post PBS Dependent questions in THIS topic.

2. It will be a 3 year extension for your spouse.

Only Tier 2 General absence is relevant. Signed by either.
