Can Home office put ilr application on hold if not enough gap between application submission and biometics

Hi,
I am on Tier2 visa and my ILR is due on May, 2019. I am submitting my application on May 4th and planning to go for biometrics on 7th May.
1. My question is, if there is not enough gap between the application submission date and the biometrics day, can home office put my application on hold?
2. If application is on hold, will it be on the same status from 6weeks to 6 months?

My solicitor is giving me this logic(point 1) and asking me to go for biometrics after 10 days, is this true?

Thanks.

Nonsense. Your application date is date of online submission and payment.

The ukcvas appointment is only for doc check and biometrics and can even be the day after online submission.
