ILR for Dependant / 30 hrs free childcare

Hi guys!

My husband is currently helping me with my ILR form (his was accepted and approved in December) and it’s my turn now.

After receiving his ILR he applied for the 30 hour free childcare funding for our little one who is 3 years old and attends nursery 4x days a week.

I’ve noticed in the documents they ask of myself
or my partner have applied for any benefits and provide supporting documents if so.

My question is, is this 30 free hours of childcare considered a benefit? Do I need to answer this question as a Yes and show supporting documents? I am struggling to figure out how to evidence this and it is not on the list of benefits...

Everything else is clear to me except this so I would appreciate any guidance.

My second question is that I have arrived in the UK June 4th 2014, however my current leave to remain expires 3rd July 2019. Would this imply that I can apply now as I am now within my 5 year qualifying period or should I wait till 28days before the 3rd July expiry date?

Thanks so much.

Here is the list of public funds: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... blic-funds
You must declare any that your partner received.
You can apply for ILR within 28 days from completing the full 5 year period, your visa expiry is not relevant

Hi, thanks so much for your response!

Yep, I understand that I (he / my hub) must declare any public funds, however, when I look at the list, I'm not seeing childcare hours, as an option to choose, so I'm confused on how to evidence this?

You need to determine if the child care received is considered part of the public funds which may fall under child tax credit: http://www.nrpfnetwork.org.uk/informati ... #childcare
