TIER 2 TO ILR

Hi everyone,
Just needed some help.
Background: I came to the UK on 25th August 2009 on student visa, since then i have completed my undergraduate and masters degree. Switched to Tier 2 in Jan 2017 which is valid till Feb 2020 and and will be eligible to apply for 10 year long residence visa on 28th of July 2019 this year.
NEVER BEEN REFUSED ANY VISA AND THERE ARE NO GAPS
Now we have received an email from Home office for the compliance visit, which is scheduled for next week 30th May. We have everything in order at office but i am a bit worried with these checks.
My Question is that if for any reason HO is not satisfied or decides to cancel the sponsorship then can i still apply for ILR based on 10 years long residency ? I am under the impression that they first suspend your licence and then they give you some time to appeal and later if they decide to revoke then they withdraw the sponsorship licence.
Many Thanks
