Hi All,

I am in Situation to decide whether , me and my husband can go for Long Residence route in coming years and accordingly will plan things. My current Situation is as follows

PIK:-
UK Visitor Visa - Oct 2013- April 2014 ( Stay in UK was of 2 weeks only, rest in India)
Long term Dependent Visa( March 2014-Jan 2018)- 4 year Stay on this VISA
Long term Main Applicant VISA ( Dec 2017- - till date)

My Partner details:-
UK Short Term ICT Visa - Jan 2013- Jan 2014 ( 1 year stay in UK)
Long term Main Visa( Feb 2014- Jan 2018)- 4 year Stay on this VISA
Long term Dependent Applicant VISA ( jan 2018 - till date)

Please suggest for both of us, will Short term VISA or Uk Visitor VISA will count towards Long Residence Route, further i have read on Websites that following is mention as break in long residence as per this comment
"""Breaks in continuous residence Continuous residence is considered to be broken if the applicant has:
been absent from the UK for a shorter period but does not have valid leave to enter the UK on their return, or valid leave to remain on their departure from the UK; o""""

In our case we have break of 1 month between short term and long term visa ( due to personal reasons)

further i would like to know ,is there difference in Long Residence or ILR Route method?

Many Thanks for support
Best Regards,
PIK
